  • At what age can a child start ballet?

We allow children to attend a trial class from plus minus 4 years of age and then take it from there.

  • Can an adult start ballet?

Certainly at any age so long as the person is reasonably fit and healthy.

  • if I learnt ballet as a child are there classes for me to pick up where I left off?

We encourage you to attend a trial lesson and see how you feel.  Make-up your mind after that.

  • What do children need to wear?

To start they can wear shorts and a T-shirt with bare feet.  By the end of the 1st term we prefer them to wear leotard, tights and shoes.

  • What do adults need to wear?

Anything you are comfortable and can move in.

  • If I am overweight can I still attend classes?

Yes and the exercise can only help.  

  • Will I be able to perform at some stage?

That will depend on how hard you work and what your ability is.
